The address books (also known as "St. John's Handbook") were published by the students' association, containing the contact details of each undergradate resident. Most of them also contain basic information about the College, the constitution of the students' association, and lyrics of the college song and cheers. The last address book was published in the 2013-14 session.

This series consists of a collection of publications published for affiliated members.

Photographs in this series were grouped together and affixed to a scrapbook in the 1990s. They are mainly group photos, including a group photo of the members of St. Stephen's Hall in 1951, which is the only photographic record of St. Stephen's Hall in the College Archives' collections.

The annual reports were published by the students' association cabinets and contain a summary of their work in the past session. They would have been discussed at the annual evaluation forums, and therefore were also known as evaluation booklets.

This series consists of records of the cabinets of the Students' Association. Prior to the constitutional reform of the Students' Association in 2017, the cabinets were known as the Executive Committees. Thereafter, the cabinet of each Association Session was constituted by the Council of Directors and the Executive Officers. These records include cabinet/proposed cabinet meeting agenda and minutes, forum minutes, working documents of cabinet members, correspondences and notices.

The campaign booklets were published by the proposed cabinets of the students' association as part of their election campaigns. They contain the cabinets' election platforms and would have been discussed at the annual general meetings or campaign forums ahead of the elections.

This series contains photographs of various College events from 1955 to the 1970s. They were discovered in College premises and transferred to the College Archives during the bulk transfer exercise in 2016-2017.

This series contains photographs of the College extension models from 1950s and 1970s, as well as those showing the construction of the Aw Boon Haw Wing and Liang Chi Hao Centre from 1977 to 1979. These photographs were discovered in College premises and transferred to the College Archives during the bulk transfer exercise in 2016-2017.

Photographs in this series were grouped together and affixed to a scrapbook in the 1990s. They are mainly photographs of College buildings taken in 1992 and 1997 during major renovations / construction of the Wong Chik Ting Hall. There are also drawings of the College extension plan in the 1970s, and a couple of College life photographs from 1960s to 1990s.

Photographs in this series were grouped together in a folder marked "Erik Kvan" on the cover. The folder appears to have been created in the 1960s. There are photographs of the Marden Wing probably taken in 1955 when the construction was completed, as well as photographs of three important events held in the foundational years of the College: the opening ceremony held on 14 October 1955, the Archbishop of Canterbury's visit to the College on 3 April 1959, and the College's golden jubilee ball held on 26 May 1962.

This series consists of pennants awarded to St. John's College as prize-winner in the individual inter-hall cultural competitions.

This series consists of pennants awarded to St. John's College as the overall champion, first runner-up or second runner-up of the inter-hall cultural competitions. Aside from the champion pennant, the champion hall would also be awarded the Prof. Y. C. Cheng Cup, the champion trophy established in 1998.

This series consists of pennants awarded to St. John's College as prize-winner in the individual inter-hall ladies' sports competitions.

This series consists of pennants awarded to St. John's College as the overall champion, first runner-up or second runner-up of the inter-hall ladies's sports competitions. The pennants were awarded on the Presentations Days organised by the Sports Association of the HKUSU at the end of each academic year. Aside from the champion pennant, the champion hall would also be awarded the Rose Bowl, the champion trophy sponsored by the Omega Company in 1965 and later by the Olma Company.

The majority of the photographs should date back to 1955 when the Marden Wing was just completed, while four of them belong to c.1970s. The 40 photographs comprising this series were donated by Mrs Vicky Fong to the College Archives in Sepetember 2020. Vicky was an avid sportswoman, being the ladies' sports captain of the College students' association in 1969-70. These photographs depict the vibrant sports and student life in the College during Vicky's time.

This series consists of publications produced for the promotion programmes organised by the Students' Association, including open days and summer camps for prospective University students. These publications include promotion leaflets and pamphlets, internal records and preparation documents, etc.

This series groups together 10 group photos of the members of St. John's Hall. They are the only photographic records of St. John's Hall in the College Archives' collections.

"The Aquila" was a yearbook published by the students' association of the College. According to records, the earliest yearbook of the College was published in the 1956-1957 session under the name "Our Life". In the 1960-61 session, the name of the yearbook was changed to "The Aquila", "because it has been strongly felt that a name more symbolic of our College should be employed" (The Aquila, 1960-61, p.5). The yearbooks were published irregularly from mid-1970s to 1980s, and every five years from 1992 onwards (with the exception of the 1994 edition). The last "Aquila" was published in 2012 on the occassion of the College's centenary.

The Union Festival (學生會節 / 學生節) competitions were the predecessors of the inter-hall cultural competitions. The latter officially started in 1997-1998 with the establishment of the Joint Hall Cultural Committee and the Prof. Y. C. Cheng Cup. This series consists of pennants awarded to St. John's College as prize-winner of the Union Festival competitions or for commemorative purposes.

"翰聲" (known as "St. John's Bulletin" in English) was a periodical published by the students' association. It appears to have been first published in the 1980-81 session. The periodical contains updates on College activities and articles written by residents. The last edition was published in 2003.
